  • The Euphemia was formerly a monastery built at the turn of the century. It’s in close proximity to all the main tourist attractions within the city centre, such as the Heineken Brewery, Leidseplein, the nightlife area and the museums. Due to our location on a quiet side street, one is able to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. We’re also easily accessible from Central Station.
  • Breakfast. In the morning we serve a simple a la carte breakfast €.3,- to €.6,-  served from to We also have a vending machine for hot and cold drinks.
  • Lounge. The lounge is open during reception hours ( Here you can spend your afternoon writing postcards, meeting other travellers, watching TV or using our free Wi-Fi.
  • Room Types. We have one- two- three- four- five- six- and 10-bed rooms, divided across 4 floors (Please note, there is no lift in the building).
    Dorm rooms are mixed boys and girls and the age limit up to 40 years.
    Private rooms – single, Twins, Doubles and Triples have private bathroom in the room.
    All the dorm rooms except 3 dorms have a bathroom in the room. The other dorms have the bathroom in the hallway.
  • Non Smoking. Smoking is NOT allowed anywhere! It will result in a charge of €.100,-
  • Cancellations, if you cancel or no show there will be NO REFUND. Cancellations and changes on and after the arrival date will be charged 100%.
  • Credit Cards. All payments at the Euphemia with credit or debit cards are subject to extra 5%. For all the Non Refundable reservations the credit card provided will be charged for the full amount prior to the arrival. Please make sure to make the reservation with credit card and not debit card. The card should have enough funds to cover the full reservation cost. If we do not manage to charge the card the reservation may be cancelled.
  • Check-out. Check out time is Extension will be given depending on the availability. On failure of the guest to vacate the room the management shall have the right to remove the guest and his/her belongings from the room occupied by the Guest and charge extra cost as the room price for the day.
  • Luggage Storage. Subject to availability of the storage space the guest can store luggage in the baggage room, at the guest’s sole risk as to loss or damage from any cause.
  • Guest’s Belongings. Guests are particularly requested to lock the door of their rooms when leaving the room. For the convenience of the Guest lockers are provided in the room, but it is highly recommended to store all valuable belongings in the safe deposit at the reception. The Management will not in any way whatsoever be responsible for any loss or damage to the Guest’s belongings or any other property from either the hotel room or the locker or any other part of the hotel for any cause whatsoever including theft of pilferage.
  • Damage to Property. The guest will be held responsible for any loss or damage to the hotel property caused by themselves, their guests or any person for whom they are responsible.
  • Management’s Rights. It is agreed that the guest will conduct him/herself in a respectable manner and will not cause any nuisance or annoyance within the premise. No parties of any kind, including sleepovers, are permitted in the premise.
